The Early Years Developmental Framework sets the standard for quality of care and practices that are specific to the development of children aged 0-3 years.
Practice Makes Perfect
Teachers create opportunities for children to learn self-help skills, learn good nutrition and healthy eating habits. The learning of essential skills like feeding oneself, wiping the mouth, washing hands and putting on socks and shoes boost the children’s self-esteem. At meal times, children also build relationships with their peers and the teacher and they learn social skills. Some even learn to help their peers.
The Nurturing Early Learners (NEL) framework, developed by Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA)
is used for 4-6 years old and covers six learning areas.
